Top 10 Resume Writing Tips to Get You the Interview

There are many reasons why you could be in the market

for a new job right now. Perhaps…

==> You just graduated from high school–or even better,

college–and you’re ready to strike out on a quest for

your first “real” job.

==> Your worst fears finally manifested and you’ve been

downsized.

==> You’re bored with the career path you’ve been on for

the past few years, and you’re ready to strike out in a

new direction.

==> You want to change jobs (within your field) for better

salary, benefits, or chance at promotion.

Whatever your motivation, a powerful resume is

essential. In truth, a resume alone won’t get you that

dream job you’re craving. Not even if you implement

every resume writing tip you can get your hands on!

But a great resume will get you in the door for an

interview. It will make you stand out as a superior

candidate for the job you’ve applied for. And that

achievement is huge, given the fierce competitive

nature of today’s job market. Not only that, but a

well-crafted resume will put the decision-maker you

meet with in a hiring frame of mind. As long as you

don’t blow

Autocross Buying Guide – Select the Right Car

In my experience, autocross can be a very fun and exciting sport. I have participated in several events in my local area. I found the hobby to be very addictive as well.

Out of all my other hobbies, I think this one is the best “bang for the buck” as far as thrills go with your car. Everybody can participate. Every car (some clubs have exceptions to this though like no SUV’s, no Trucks) can race. The nice thing about this kind of race is that you are competing against others in your class usually defined by the SCCA, however, you are on the course alone so there is minimal chance of hitting other cars.

The hardest part about autocross (aside from learning how to race) in my opinion is finding the right car. Sure, you can use a daily driver, but that is not recommended if you are going to participate in several events a year. Autocross can create wear on the tires and other components very quickly and can get expensive very fast. I would recommend to get a vehicle that you can use for autocross. This can be a “trailer car” or a car that

Understanding Plus Size Fashion Segments

As fashion and plus size evolve into a recognized and (soon-to-be) respected segment in fashion, so do the idiosyncrasies and nuances of fashion itself, as it pertains to plus size.

You see, ten years ago, plus size only belonged in one lump segment, leaving us fashionistas with very little or if any options for shopping and discerning which pieces were of a “fashionable” standard. However, now, with the amalgamation (yes, I had to use this word) and plethora of fashions within plus size clothing, one could easily find herself lost, frustrated, confused, irritated, or flustered when shopping for an ideal outfit or piece of clothing.

Why?

We no longer have “one type” of fashion option for the plus size woman- we have many. However, to better understand and sort through the madness of them all, a budding fashionista must first understand what these newer segments are and learn the identifiers of these to shop smarter, not harder.

No really… WHY?

See, as in the straight- sized market, you will find certain segments within fashion that are grouped together, and for the most part, you know what to expect when shopping from that retailer or specific set of retailers.

How to Create Your First Blog

I’ve been blogging now for about 2 years, and I’m amazed at the amount of traffic that I get from my blog and the number of people who tell me that they first heard about me from my blog instead of my website. The word blog is derived from the term “web log”, or an online diary or journal. If the HBO series “Sex and the City” were being filmed today, Carrie Bradshaw would be a blogger as well as a columnist, I think. Why? As she experiences her revelations about life, love, and relationships, she could post them to her blog for the world to see and comment upon.

Blogging has opened website creation to almost everyone, as it takes very little know-how to get a blog up and running. In fact, many service business owners are using a blog platform as their primary website, with some of them creating static pages as you would find on a traditional website, while others are using the platform as a blog and are posting updates regularly.

There are several advantages to using blogs instead of ezines or traditional websites:

1. Search engines love blogs. The strategy that seems to

Team Sports and Building Character in Our Youth

It’s all about sports say coaches and parents as they sign their children up for little league, soccer, swimming or youth track. Both parents and coaches alike realize that by teaching our kids sports we are instilling in them strong work ethic, competitiveness, team work, sportsmanship, striving to accomplish goals, and to win.

These are all such obvious life skills you’d wonder why any parent wouldn’t want their kids in sports. Still, some psychologists say that an underperforming young athlete can have their self-esteem hurt if they find that they are not as good as the other kids on the team or in the league.

True enough and yet parents say, that’s alright they can still be part of a winning team, if they will put forth effort they’ll learn what can be accomplished working together, and they will also learn that if they want to do good and win in anything in life they will have to rise to the occasion and train and work harder to accomplish their goals, dreams and objectives. Indeed.

Today however, we are finding more and more studies and research done by psychologists that say we are damaging our children by pushing

Choosing A Professional Resume Writer – Get a Great Resume Without Breaking the Bank

The job market these days is tough. This is definitely no secret – all you need to do is turn on the news to see how badly the economy is doing. While we have gotten a little bit better from when the economy crashed in 2008, the job market is still very competitive, and everybody is looking for an edge in the market. If you’ve tried looking for a job recently, you know how difficult it can be!

One of the most important things to have in hand during the job search is a solid resume. The resume is the ticket to the job interview – but the problem is that for any position that opens up, a beleaguered human resources employee is likely digging through through hundreds of different resumes. If you want to land the coveted interview, you’ll need to have a resume that stands out from the rest of the crowd.

The problem is that many people do not know how to appropriately represent themselves on a resume. There are thousands among the unemployed who are perfectly qualified for jobs, but their resumes simply do not represent them as well as they could. If you

Childcare Vouchers

Childcare vouchers have become the pre-eminent, tax-free method of payment in the United Kingdom, and are also exempt from national insurance. This scheme offers all employed parents that have children, not older than 16, childcare vouchers. These vouchers are used as payment for day nurseries, nannies, childminders, holiday clubs, as well as breakfast and after school clubs. In order to achieve the tax and NIC savings and receive the childcare voucher benefit, parents agree to sacrifice a portion of their annual salary. The maximum annual savings for one parent is £1,196, and maximum annual savings for two parents together is £2,392 pounds. Now, let us see how this program works for businesses.

If you are a business owner, you should understand that there are many positive outcomes when you provide your employees with childcare vouchers. For instance, you are effectively giving them a raise in pay when you offer employees childcare vouchers. Your employees are not required to show a financial hardship in order to receive the vouchers, and of course, they only benefit if you decide to offer them the benefit. And your business saves money every year if it offers childcare vouchers to its employees. You
